New City Software Ltd. T/A Insurance Data Solutions is a leading provider of insurance data services and innovative software solutions, is pleased to announce that it will officially operate under the name Insurance Data Solutions Ltd (IDS) effective immediately. This change clears up any confusion and better reflects our commitment and focus on the insurance sector. The company number and registration address remain the same.

Background on the Name Change

The company was originally established in 2006 as New City Software Limited, delivering specialist data migration services tailored specifically for brokers, insurers, and insurance software houses.

In 2009, to safeguard our identity within this niche, we established Insurance Data Migrations Ltd (Company Number 06828474) but continued to trade under New City Software Ltd for continuity with Companies House.

Our portfolio of data services and SaaS products rapidly expanded as we closely collaborated with our clients to address their data-related pain points including solutions for Binder and Bordereaux Management, Insurance Data Analytics, Insurance Sanctions Checking, and Insurance Data Archiving Solutions, as well as Bespoke solutions meeting client specific data requirements. Reflecting this breadth of expertise and products, we began trading as Insurance Data Solutions in 2012.

Permission to officially use the sensitive word "insurance" in our name was sought in May 2024 from the Financial Conduct Authority and the Secretary of State.

Name Change from New City Software Limited to Insurance Data Solutions Ltd. changed end of June 2024 with Companies House.
